WORK.: has been busy in Mexico, Portugal, Switzerland, Israel, Italy, Poland, the UK, the USA , the Checz Republic and Cuba.
Studied Architecture in Guadalajara Mexico
he started to make installations on the city and got interested in ephemeral interventions, joining the Alebrije theatre company as an actor and set designer travelling around the world with different theatre plays.
During his studies in Porto, Portugal joined TUP, the university’s theatre company; he made the set of Oedipus rex winning best stage design in Porto theatre festival.
In 2000 He won among Alebrije theatre company best mexican play and represented mexico for a SHOW TOUR IN JERUSALEM AND ROME.
In Barcelona Spain he studied an MA in ART AND EPHIMERAL SPACES. During this time he worked in 5 films and 7 short films. He also worked along the theatre company " LES COMEDIANTS” for the set design in the main plaza during the Forum 2004 exhibition.
During 2004-2005 he studied an MA on SCENOGRAPHY at ST MARTINS COLLEGE OF ART & DESIGN, working on different projects in London and Poland where he worked on a play, THE DEATH OF IVAN ILLICH presented in Krakow and Bilbao. He also made a workshop in LALEK puppet school in Wroclaw Poland and studied Tadeusz Kantors works in krakow.
. In Mexico he worked in 5 Operas: "THE PUSS IN BOOTS" by montsalvadge, TURANDOT, AMAHL AND THE NIGHT VISITORS, , COSI FAN TUTTE AND THE BARBER OF SEVILLE with the Kapelankas, which the set recently won best set design in Guadalajara.
He started the design lab ATELIER EFIMERO which concentrates set design with visual arts and architecture. He’s currently working in the theatre piece DAKOTA by Jordi Galcerán and teaching SCENOGRAPHY in ITESO university to architects. . He recently won in 2007 a one year national scholarship to work in his future project HELIUM 07 that consists in flying sculptures. www.helium08.blogspot.com
