I think I’ve always subconsciously wanted to be a puppeteer. Ever since watching the muppet show and the Jim Henson film “Dark Crystal”, I’ve been fascinated with the whole process, from conception to final performance. Designing, making and performing with puppets is something that requires a good all round knowledge; it has a great appeal because it involves experimentation with many different materials and processes.
After completing my degree at Nottingham Trent University, I have made puppets and performed as a puppeteer for a number of festivals, outdoor spaces and theatre companies. I now tour with my own puppet orientated company, 'Frolicked'.
